The research project Hacking Nature by Veronika Miškovičová, an architect, artist, explorer and research candidate at UMPRUM, explores the potential of inter-species collaboration. As part of her long-term research, she develops biotechnological living instruments inspired by the natural living conditions of the organisms. In her latest works, she explores the potential of long-term microalgae growth in various environments. In collaboration with UMPRUM and the Czech Academy of Sciences, she collects and quantifies data from the instruments, such as CO2 uptake and O2 production, to help better understand the vital role of microalgae in the local and global environment.
